Hello, all,
Does anyone know options for transport to Toulouse airport for a 6:30 flight to Amsterdam? As it’s “international,” though both EU, I assume we should be there 3 hours early—yuck. But hotel websites rarely mention shuttle hours and the one I almost booked doesn’t run till 6 am. Are we close enough to safely walk from any airport hotel? If so, which one? Is the T-2 tram working yet? It looks like T-1starts running at 5:30 from city centre. So that would leave us 45 mins before our flight, assuming no traffic at that early hour. It’s pretty grim! Any ideas much appreciated. Thanks!
Two hours before is the standard. I have never arrived for a Schengen zone flight earlier than that.
Many and I have been in similar situation and just ask the concierge to order a taxi the night before.
You can easily look on Google maps to see what hotels are near or at the airport.
Or on the Airport website there are some listed as right at the terminal

Just from experience most hotels I have stayed at near any airport will have a solution to get to it to catch an early flight.
The NH hotel is directly connected to the Toulouse airport. It even has a good restaurant. We stayed there in June.
Find out what time the airport and check in desks actually open
No point getting there earlier than that
2 hours is plenty for an intra-Schengen flight -a call to the airlines should confirm this
Have your hotel call for a taxi
I fly within the EU several times a year. I rarely get to the gate more than an hour before the loading time, and have never missed a flight; including to and from Toulouse last year. If you're flying out of the EU from Amsterdam that may impact things, but not too much. Talk to your hotel concierge.
On their website, Toulouse Airport suggests international travelers to arrive at the airport 2 hours before departure

I'm assuming you're taking the 6:30 a.m. KLM flight. The check-in time limit for intra-Schengen flights is theoretically 40 minutes with KLM, not 3 hours.
The airport website recommends between 1.5 and 2 hours.
I regularly take intra-Schengen flights from Toulouse Blagnac and I always plan to be at the airport about 1.5 hours before the flight time with checked baggage. So you can allow 1.5 hours. Or 2 hours if you want a comfortable margin.
The airport tram is no longer running due to construction (at least until June 2026). The first public shuttle bus to the airport leaves at 5:05 a.m. from the Toulouse bus station (€9) and takes about 20 minutes to reach the airport, which, in my opinion, is too short if you have luggage to check in.
The NH hotel is adjacent to the airport buildings; it's the closest. There are a few cheaper hotels within a 5-minute walk of the airport. But given the uninspiring atmosphere of all these hotels near the airport and the surrounding area, why not stay in the city center and pre-book a taxi to the airport if you're already in Toulouse ?
