Earliest to book a hotel at MSM

Hello,
I am planning a trip to France for myself and my daughter for her graduation. We are not going until June of 2020, but I am already planning and booking. I have tried to book a room in a hotel at Mont St Michel, but it says that it is sold out. Is that because I am trying too soon? Or are they always booked up a year and a half early? Or is there a better time to start looking for a room?

Thanks for your help. I will probably be around in the days to come, looking for advice. :)

Don't know which booking website you may be using, but most of them (including the properties themselves) only start taking reservations about a year in advance, so I think you're just too early.

I would also guess that is the problem. Some will not take reservation more than six months or so out. Check it every month for a while or contact the hotel and ask when the reservation window opens.

OK, thanks! I figured that's what the problem was, but I wanted to make sure.

That is our best guess. But you cannot be sure unless you check with the hotel directly.

I agree with the others - most places will not book that far in advance, at least partly because they haven't yet set their prices for that time period.

If you need to know when they open their reservations for your dates, e-mail them directly and ask.

We are also going to MSM next April of 2020. When I emailed the hotel directly they said it was too early to book. Soonest is 1 year in advance!

Guess I’m not the only early bird!!!
