Driving to France from Switzerland and Covid test

Hello,
We are a group of four traveling from U.S. to Germany. Three of us will have 1 booster but our nephew will only have 2 doses of Covid vaccine. We will be traveling to Switzerland by car and then to France and back to Germany. It seems to read on Swiss site that we are good to go but nephew would need to test negative for France. Will testing in Switzerland day before driving to France satisfy requirement? We will be going in early July to France on this trip. He shouldn’t have to test before flight to Germany??? Do we need to fill out forms for entering these countries too?
Thank you, Jo

Generally, once in the Schengen zone, further Covid checks are not made but can be. If nephew is under 18, he does not need the mRNA booster.

Certainly you have read the numerous posts from those with Covid unable to return to the US as planned. I would want as much Covid protection as possible when traveling far from home.

Yes, our nephew is only hesitant about booster as he just started having problems with irregular heartbeats and was diagnosed with a leaky heart valve. As he is in early twenties and there has been link of vaccine and problems with heart issues he is a little hesitant about receiving booster. We just need to know if he has to test negative before flight to Germany or should he test in Switzerland a day before entering France to enter France. Thank you

French entry requirements are based entirely upon the country from which you enter France. In your case, this is Switzerland. Entry requirements for Germany or Switzerland may be different.
