Driving route - Puimoisson to Antibes

Hello,

My wife and I will be driving from Puimoisson to Antibes in late May 2020.
We are interested in natural beauty, history(castles, ruins, roman, medieval) and a nice place to stop for lunch.
We will be leaving Puimoisson at around 1100 and have to drop the car off in Antibes at 1700.
We will be visiting Moustiers Ste Marie and the Verdon Gorge on the days before our departure. Any other suggestions you have for this area are welcome too!
Any route suggestions with stops would be much appreciated.

Thank you!

CB - Here are list of must see villages between Puimoisson and Antibes that you should consider to make a stopover.

Sainte-Agnes is a small village situated a few kilometers inland from the coastal towns of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin and Menton . It has a natural beauty with its landscape. Menton is a charm as well.

Entrevaux is a fabulous sight: a medieval village guarding a narrow pass, a draw-bridge entrance high across a fast river, and walled walkway zig-zaging up through 20 fortified doorways to a 17th century citadel dominating the village and the surrounding valleys.

I am glad you have included Moustiers-Sainte-Marie on your agenda. It's a stunning village.

For Roman ruins in the French Riviera, you can venture off to the city of Ventimiglia, the first Italian town across the border from the French Riviera. To the east of Ventimiglia’s modern town center – just before the big railway bridge – you will see the remains of the old Roman town of Albintimilium, discovered in the 19th century.

Entrevaux is lovely and I highly recommend it. However, it's not on the most direct route between Puimoisson and Antibes. ViaMichelin indicates it will add 40 minutes to the drive, coming to nearly 3 hours. So you'll have to decide how conservative you need to be, given the drop-dead 5 PM cut-off in Antibes. Entrevaux's small, so it's otherwise convenient for a lunch stop.

If you look at the route options on ViaMichelin and zoom way in, you'll find the most scenic stretches of road highlighted in green. To see what VM proposes without the detour to Entrevaux, delete that stopover on the routing at the left.
