driving route from Sarlat south to Condom

Trying to figure out the most reasonable but most scenic route for a one-day drive from Sarlat to Condom. Initially I was thinking of taking the RS Eastern Dordogne driving tour as far as Loubressac, skipping Rocamadour, then heading to St Cirq Lapopie then to Cahors and then to Condom but without stops ViaMichelin says it is a 5/12 hour trip. That is a lot of time in the car (at least for me). We are already spending a week in Sarlat and could potentially do the RSED drive and then the day we leave for Condom take the fastest route to St Cirq and then on to Condom. Has anyone done the eastern Dordogne drive and have any opinions on it? That would be helpful as well as any other comments about the potential route.
Many thanks!

It is true that going to St Cirq L. takes you a bit far to the east, but that ViaMichelin estimate seems overstated. 4.5 hours without stops seem more likely to me.
If that still feels like too much, maybe do Gourdon+ Cahors, skipping St Cirq? You could also just decide depending on weather (not a pleasant drive if it rains...) and energy level on that day.
