Driving/Parking in Strasbourg

My family group of 6 will be visiting Strasbourg for a weekend next month. We will be driving through southern Germany making a weekend stopover in Strasbourg before continuing on to Stuttgart. We'll be driving a van similar to a Mercedes Vito and staying in an apartment near Pl Gutenberg.

I know parking the vehicle on Grand Isle will be next to impossible. I expect the vehicle will be at or just over the 1.9 m height limit on most of the parking garages there. I have located Parcus Bataliers on Rue de Zurich that allows up to 2m and generally has good availability. Any other suggestions for parking a van in Strasbourg?

My other question is what I need on the vehicle to be able to drive it into Strasbourg. I understand I will need a Crit'Air sticker on the vehicle. I will be picking up the van in Munich and want to be sure what I will need to get from the rental company

And my other option is to just leave the van at the Kehl Bahnhof. Take what we need for the weekend into Strasbourg via train. Should I have any concerns with leaving a vehicle at the Kehl Bahnhof surface parking for a weekend?

Appreciate any insight.
Thanks

The need for a France environmental sticker is the reason we stayed in Colmar. Colmar is not in an environmental zone, but Strasbourg is. You’ll need to park outside the town to avoid getting a hefty ticket. I’m not sure how’d you’d even get the sticker for France. Maybe visit an office of the rental car company to see if you can get one. I doubt you could get the France sticker at the Germany office. The vehicle will have the Germany environmental sticker on it. The stickers are not valid in other countries. Another option is to ask whoever you’re renting the apartment from where to park without the sticker, assuming the apartment has secured parking.

the Crit Air windscreen stickers are only available online from the French government and will require you to send an image of the original registration documents. It eventually comes by mail.

Strasbourg requires, even many of the park and rides, at least a yellow Crit Air. I was just there and the signage is on all the roads into town.

In other words, highly unlikely in your timeframe.

Park elsewhere and take the train. I would never try to guarantee anywhere safe, so can't say if it is safe to leave the car at the Kehl station.
