Heading off to France in 10 days! Looking for feedback for two driving itineraries starting in Isle sur la Sorgue for two separate days. Add/subtract/just right???
Hard to comment not knowing how long you might linger in any one place; and you probably won't know until you're actually on the road. We hit many of those spots during a week-long visit in the area, May 2016. As I recall, we drove one morning to Roussillon (breakfast at a cafe; then walked the Ochre trail); skirted LaCoste (the narrow entry road looked too daunting; we probably gave up too soon); lunched in Bonnieux, wandered around Lourmarin; and were back in Sorgue well before dinner time. Neither route looks overly ambitious depending on your pace and susceptibility to Provence's many distractions. Except when we had a longer-distance destination (e.g. Cassis), we usually started with a vague plan but kept our minds open to a free-lance detour if an interesting village, road or wrong turn intervened. It's unlikely you'll be disappointed with any route along the back roads.
Thanks! We'll be there in 2 1/2 weeks.
