Driving from Troyes to Colmar

We will be driving from Troyes to Colmar on a Thursday. We are planning on stopping at the Abbaye de Clairvuax for a 10:30 tour. We would like to continue our drive and stop in a small town on the way to Colmar, for lunch. Any suggestions?

A 10:30 tour will end at, what, 12:00? So you cannot drive too much further. Very close to Clairvaux, Colombey-les-deux-Eglises is where Charles de Gaulle is buried (and his hometown). The memorial there could be of interest if you like French history.
And if you have time to drive further, Langres is a beautiful medieval hilltop town.

Another vote for Colombey-les-deux-Eglises to see the home and burial site of De Gaulle. I visited the place once over 20 years years ago, well worth it, historical/culturally revealing, lovely view.

Troyes was also the city we had passed as well as the Napoleon site , Arcis-sur-Aube.

Langres is still on my list to visit once in the future. Colombey-les-Deux-Églises is certainly worth the detour, it’s a place of pelgrimage for Gaullists and has something special. If you like French history as Balso already noticed you can visit the memorial and the museum there but also his home La Boisserie.

It's a detour, but Besançon is very attractive, especially the citadel above town, with a fine Resistance Museum. While I have not been to Ronchamp, I would like to see Le Corbusier's chapel there.
