Driving from Sarlat-le-Caneda to Arles- stopover spot?

My husband and I plan 15 days inFrance Sept-Oct. I posted itinerary questions earlier, but have a specific question now about how long it will take to drive from the area of Sarlat to Arles. It does not appear reasonable in a single day. If not, where is a good stopover for one night between the two?

The driving distance is about 300 miles and it would be about a five or six hour drive. If you want a stopover on the way - depending on what route you choose - consider Albi, Carcasonne or Toulouse.
