4 of us want to hire a driver to take us from Carcassonne to Sarlat le Caneda. Do you have any recommendations as to who we could contact?
I can only guess that it will not be cheap. The driver has to drive back, so will charge you a round trip cost, if you even find someone willing to drive you. It is almost 300 km and will take about 3+ hours. If you are staying in Sarlat for a few days, you would be better off renting a car, as most of the things to see in the Dordogne area aren't easily accessible by bus, and taxis are not that available. If you are thinking of this as a day trip, you will spend most of the day on the drive.
What are your expectations for this visit to Sarlat?

Sarlat de Caneda is a great town. We stayed there a week and took day trips to the caves, the town where Chocolat was filmed and then we went to Chateau de Castelnaud. Market days on Wed. and Sat. are fabulous. You may need a driver to these sites.
