Hello. My husband and I are going to be driving from Colmar to Montreuil to meet family late October. We have 2 days between and so thought we would stop on the way as I believe it will take about 7 hours..
Was looking for suggestions for good stop over, preferably about half way so we can spend a day exploring and out of the car. Maybe not a huge town/city but open to suggestions.

Oh and just to add I have been told Epernay might be a good spot...?

If you haven't already done it as a side trip from Colmar, take a look at Nancy. It's known for its architecture, including Art Nouveau. I think it's also a spa town. It's only about 2 hours from Colmar, so if you only have one night, it's probably better spent closer to Montreuil.
