Does 'aucun' mean no reservations taken or no reservations remaining?

when the booking page of a restaurant website says 'aucun' does that mean that they are full up for the dates listed or does it mean that they don't take reservations?

I guess I answered my own question -- if must mean that they are full up / not taking any more reservations.

But I thought that when they are full up they call it 'complet' ...

Maybe they count down according to the number of reservations remaining.

So if one logged in when there were still places available, it would say, for example, "15 reservations"

and by the time they are complet, it would say "aucune reservation disponible"

but I don't know

the practical effect, as you've figured out, is the same.

"aucun" in French means "none"

So it's not possible to conclude anything from this since "aucun" in this context means nothing except that the reservation system is rather poorly designed.

If I were you I would try other days in the near future to see what is displayed.

That being said, unless with some Michelin starred restaurant that can be fully booked weeks in advance, it is quite possible that this means that it is too early to book
