Hi all...Reading every update, and it appears that entering from the USA into France (CDG) all I need is my CDC proof of fully vaccinated with a booster, in order to get a Pass Sanitaire. I have also checked with my airline by text who states that only CDC card needed. Would like some verification from my fellow experienced travellers...I am checking as I thought I needed an updated health document from the Ministry of France. Thank you!
In order to enter France, you need proof of vaccination, so your passport and CDC card. We arrived in Paris a week ago and our passports were stamped at immigration. French immigration had no interest in seeing our CDC cards, though they were checked in Miami by American Airlines. Once you are here, you will need a health pass to visit museums, eat inside or outside in restaurants, go to a movie, etc.
Luckily, it is easy to get one by going to an approved pharmacy with your passport and CDC card.
My husband and I arrived with our passes, but our friends did not and quickly obtained them last week at the Bader Pharmacy on Boulevard Saint Michel. Took just minutes. The passes have been checked at every restaurant and museum, without fail. Bring plenty of masks because they are worn everywhere indoors, including the metro and buses. 100% compliance. Paris itself is lively and venues are not overly crowded. Have fun!
We’re flying to France on Monday and our airline (AA) tells me that we need our proof of vaccination (CDC card) and a French “statement of honor” which is on the French ministry’s website:
https://mobile.interieur.gouv.fr/Actualites/L-actu-du-Ministere/Certificate-of-international-travel
Not sure if anyone actually looks at this or not, but I have copies printed out in case.
Have fun on your trip!
To enter France, you need your passport, proof of vaccination, and a filled out French locater form. I entered via Eurostar and the immigration officials wanted passport and proof of vaccination. No one looked or asked for my locater although Eurostar was supposed to.
Upon leaving, as I did the other day, I needed my passport and proof of vaccination.
I suggest getting the pass sanitaire once you get there. It will make things easier for you.
I flew into France at the end of September from the US. WE had to have the attestation form, CDC cards and passport to board the airplane. When we deplaned at CDG, there was a. gauntlet a few feet beyond the exit ramp where everyone had to prove their vaccine status. I had the Pass Sanitaire which we used for that everywhere in France, but they wanted to see the CDC cards. Once we were through that it was a very long walk to immigration where only our passports were viewed and stamped.
Coming back to the US this past week, we had to have all those things above but also a negative COVID test. We were able to upload passports, CDC cards, attestation and negative test results to the airline, so that on arrival we got to use a very short check in line of those who were 'travel ready' -- but when doing the luggage drop check in, they wanted to see the CDC and negative test info again. At passport control and security at exit, only the passports were inspected.
They are no doing the Pass Sanitaire on line so you need to get that done asap when you get there at a pharmacy because it is just incredibly convenient and you will use it several times a day at cafes, museums, events. We got there at the end of the Christos Wrap of the Arc de Triomphe and we had to show the Pass Sanitaire to be allowed into the area near the Arc to see it.
Has anyone entered with one shot only due to COVID recovered status?
