Yes, I do love the Seine - it's a beautiful, lively, romantic river - I love to walk along the quais and cross and re-cross the elegant, historic bridges. I live in NYC about 2 blocks from the Hudson River and it's a totally different experience. Also a beautiful river but the West Side Highway separates Riverside Park from the river and there's noise, exhaust, and all the rest of what makes up car culture. The Seine is an intimate river (heart) and (sigh).

Whew! I was worried the topic was going to be more locks showing up on bridges in Paris again. Yes, I do love the Seine, especially enjoyable on an evening cruise. It’s wonderful during warm weather, but I even did it one time with a winter coat to be able to sit outside the whole time.
