We may take taxis frequently and if they take credit cards won't need as much cash on us.
I also have the same question for London and Barcelona.
some do, some don't
Taxi drivers in Paris are not required to take credit cards so some do, but from what I have seen, most do not.
You have to ask each taxi driver you approach, and it would be a good idea to learn to ask in French.
Even if they do, there may be a fee.
The Metro is great for getting around Paris, reasonable cost, and easy to use.
Will save a lot of taxi fares.
Within the city center, taxi fares can be pretty reasonable to share, perhaps €10 for a short ride in Paris or Barcelona. However, I would recommend to be prepared with cash.
Hi,
Some taxis do, and in my experience it is best to always have cash on you in Paris because many establishments do not take credit cards. Ask the hotel front desk to reserve a taxi that takes credit cards, or to be safe, have cash.
