Talk about bad timing. My family of four (including two boys) are excited about the prospect of visiting our first Disney park out of the country. We reserved two nights at the nifty new Art of Marvel Hotel and procured our park tickets. Come to find out that not one but two of the hotel’s full service restaurants are inexplicably closed temporarily. The park is also undergoing 30th anniversary renovations. (The castle is behind a big box). There is no reliable way to ask customer service for assistance except for calling a long distance number. Does anyone in this esteemed group have any “intel” about the restaurant closures in the hotel? Is there a strike? What in Mickey’s name is going on?
I always found the DLP forum on DIS boards to be helpful
We visited the parks in 2008, yikes can’t believe it’s been that long!
Sorry don’t have direct link
If the hotel is new, are the restaurants also new? Have they ever been officially opened, or are they about to open at a date in the near future? I checked the menus which are available online and for these prices, you could dine at Michelin starred restaurants in Paris.
I did call for you, but the offices answering inquiries are closed and will reopen tomorrow. When are you visiting Disney? There are still plenty of dinning venues available, even if these two are yet to open.
Thank you both for your great responses. We are visiting 18/11 to 20/11 before going to Paris for the rest of our holiday. After reading your suggestion, I registered for one of the Disney forums to get some additional info from anyone currently staying at the property. I appreciate your reaching out to contact them as well! That was no nice of you. Both sit down restaurants were open when the hotel reopened. For some odd reason both appear to now be closed. I heard grumblings about a strike?
SO nice of you Tocard to try to call.
