I am planning a trip to Paris in late October/Early November and staying near Disney at the Marriott's Village d'Ile-de-France. I have a few questions the answers to which will help me in my planning. How much is a taxi from CDG to Disney? How much does it cost to park at Gare de Marne la Vallée Chess (the Disney RER station)? Is there a fee to park at the Val d'Europe (the shopping mall near Disney)? Can one leave a car there while taking the RER to Paris and back?
How much is a taxi from CDG to Disney?
=55euros
If you do not have a lot of luggage take the TGV for less and it only takes 10 minutes.
How much does it cost to park at Gare de Marne la Vallée Chess (the Disney RER station)?
It depends on how long
24hours = 26.50 euros
Is there a fee to park at the Val d'Europe (the shopping mall near Disney)?
20 euros but double check:

We have stayed there several times. The resort runs a shuttle bus to the train station where you can catch the RER into Paris - leave your car at the resort those days. The easiest way to get there is the TGV from CDG to DLP. You can then either take the Marriott shuttle, pick up a rental car ot take a taxi to the resort. If you are renting a car at the Chessy train station you might consider planning your days and not paying for a rental to sit in the resort parking lot. There is also a bus stop at the entrance to the resort which goes to the train station & Val d'Europe.
I don't remember having to pay to park at the mall and we have parked there several times.
Thank you for the information. I will make the trip to and from Paris 4-5 days and have heard that the Nivigo ND pass reduces the cost. Can it be purchased at the Gare de Marne la Vallée Chess (the Disney RER station)? Does it work on the 34 buss that goes to the Marriott?
We stayed there in Feb a couple of years ago and we are staying there again in Feb. We rented a car the last time and will be renting a car this time. This Marriott is a great property, but I personally wouldn't want to stay there without a car.
I would recommend researching the Sixt rental car one way rental between CDG and Marne la Vallee. The cost to rent a car from CDG and drop it off at the TGV location near Disney is about the same cost as the TGV ride from the airport and definitely cheaper than a cab.
We also drove into Paris and parked in a garage while we explored paris on foot during the day. We are doing this again for are upcoming trip. The one caveat is Paris had an odd/even driving ban. I don't think this will be an issue for us (hopefully) but perhaps it could be during your time frame.
Maybe this trip will be different though.
The card should be available in the machines at the Chessy station. The Navigo Decouverte is €5 additional and requires a photo - 3cm tall by 2.5cm wide. There used to be a photo booth at the station - I imagine it is still there. They are valid from Monday through Sunday
I would question that the trip to Disney is only 55 by taxi; is it a fixed fee like to Paris? Or on the meter.
I have parked my car for free at the Val d’Europe shopping mall June 2013 and 2015 for taking the RER to downtown Paris. As far as I know the parking remains open all the time at the side of the Auchan/ Castorama Supermarket, at least during opening hours of the supermarket. The RER station is at walking distance (10 min.) with a ticket booth and also ticket vending machines. There is also a FNAC store at the other end of the shopping mall and very convenient for buying all kinds of tickets like for the Louvre, Versailles etc. https://www.auchan.fr/magasins/val-d-europe/sl-87
It is not that far away from your place, so worth to have a look before paying for an expensive taxi. Hopefully nothing has changed in the meanwhile.
Thanks for all the information. I still don't know what I will do. There is some appeal to being without a car like many Europeans. Then again, there is appeal in having the convenience of a car. The taxi fare of €55 does seem low from the airport to either Disney or the Marriott. Does anyone know where to catch the Disney shuttle bus from CDG and how much it cost per person?
Last I checked you had to be staying at a Disney property to take their shuttle. The easiest way is the TGV direct from CDG to the Chessy station. From there you can take the Marriott shuttle, a taxi, the bus, or rent a car.
Like I said - if you plan on day trips to the countryside rent the car for those days only - no need to pay for car sitting a parking lot all day while you are in Paris - just take the RER from Chessy - easy peasy.
From the Marriott website:
Charles de Gaulle International Airport - CDG
Airport Phone: +33 014 8622280
Hotel direction: 27.3 miles SE
This hotel does not provide shuttle service.
Alternate transportation: Transfer service or Bus;on request
Subway service, fee: 18 EUR (one way)
Estimated taxi fare: 120 EUR (one way)
Glad we had a car with a few bumps like parking in nimes.
Being able to get fresh bread and pastries from the local boulangerie made it worth it too.
In reviewing the DLP app, the crowds were too big (feb school vacation big) so we agreed to find other adventures and skip dlp.
The Marriott is great and really enjoyed our stay.
