Direct Train to Auvers-sur-Oise?

I have heard there is a direct train on Sundays from Gare du Nord in Paris to Auvers-sur-Oise. Can anyone tell me if this is true, and if so, the best method to pre-purchase tickets for an April 28th day trip?

Word of caution regarding the train service in Auvers-sur-Oise. In September I took the train from Paris to Pontoise then connected to Auvers. Enjoyed the village, just lovely but panicked when at the train station there was a sign saying the 4pm train returning to Pointoise was cancelled, next one at 7. Not a soul around, station not open. My concern was that the 7pm train might also be cancelled leaving me stranded. I’m a pretty independent traveller always thinking that with a charge card, one can always get a hotel room. Well, no hotel in site either. I was able to flag down a town bus and was directed where to wait for a regional bus which would take me to a larger centre. From there I was able to train to Paris.
Sharing becuase I had seen postings on this forum mentioning the unreliability of some of the lines. My experience has always been good, impressed by how punctual trains are etc. but now appreciate that this can happen, have a plan B

This website explains about the direct train from Paris (Nord) to Auvers. It is a special day trip train that runs once out in the AM (9:38) and once back in the PM (6:32), so you have take those particular train times to get the direct train. If you want to go earlier or come back later you would need to take the regular trains that take longer and have a train change. Looks like this train runs on Sat, Sun, and holidays from March 30 - October 27, 2019.

The direct train would be ideal though feel compelled to consider how to fill a full day in Auvers. I had been cautioned that a few hours was enough. Though I tend to really explore ie: check out all the headstones, read all the script at the exhibits, walk into more residential areas, stop for coffee etc., 4 hours seemed more than enough. Again, just for your consideration.

I went to Auvers last May and took the non-direct train (changing at Pontoise) and it worked out ok for me. You do have to bear in mind if any sudden cancellations and have a back up plan if that occured. The trains from Gare du Nord are quite frequent druing weekdays.
I would say that if you went for more than 3-4 hours in Auvers you will be struggling to find things to do - hence the direct train might not suit
Good luck

If you do take the tourist train, there is a market two days a week and 30 kilometers of walking paths around the area. Since people are often asking about day trips, this is a chance to get out of the city, see the small museums in town ( Daubigny was important there too), gravesite, have a nice lunch, hike or ride bikes, and head back to Paris. Kind of a restful day.
