Ironically, when it was first built, many Parisians, especially the artsy ones, abhorred it. An industrial stain on the classic Parisian architecture. One, the writer Guy de Maupassant, is said to have dined at the Eiffel Tower frequently because it was the one place in Paris he did not have to look at it.

Off on a side street is a lovely restaurant, Au Bon Accueil. If the weather is pleasant, they have a view of the Eiffel Tower from their sidewalk tables. Reservations a must, phone or email. I don't believe they have a website anymore.

Disclosure, I haven't dined there since 2022. But the service, food and view were all wonderful.

I love to recommend Bustronome, which will take you to the Eiffel Tower, as well as other noteworthy places around the city. Food is surprisingly good.

G3rryCee, you frequently recommend Bustronome. When did you last dine with them? Have you used them in other cities? For €120 without drinks I would have high expectations. I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around fine dining on a moving bus. Thanks.

You might consider the restaurant at Musee Quai Branley, Les Ombres. I have never been to the restaurant, but I love the museum. Here is the link Ihttps://www.lesombres-restaurant.com/en/ And there is a bit more description on Michelin website. https://guide.michelin.com/us/en/ile-de-france/paris/restaurant/les-ombres. I take the bus or metro to Palais du Tokyo and walk across the bridge toward the museum. Reveal of EF is stunning.

Jeanm, I didn't realize Bustronome had gone up that much. We did it Xmas Eve 2018. I don't remember what we paid, but if we paid anything like €120, it included wine. I mainly recommend it because it's something different. The food was very good. It wasn't the best meal of my life, but it was a lot of fun, and everyone in our group agreed it was worth the cost.

We had lunch at Les Ombres a few years ago. It has an excellent view of the ET and the food was excellent as well as photogenic.
