Dinner on Mont St. Michel

Hello. We will be going to Mont St. Michel in July. There are four adults in our group. Do we need to make reservations to have dinner on the Mont?

Also, I have a couple of picky eaters in the group, not often willing to try foods outside of their comfort zones as Americans. Can someone recommend a good restaurant on the Mont to go to that is NOT gourmet, but has a combination of good French cuisine as well as some options for those with less adventurous taste buds? Some place with a good view would be wonderful, but not sure if that is an option. I'm trying to find a place to please everyone. Thanks for any advice.

The Rick Steves Tour I was on had a group dinner at the restaurant in the Hotel Croix Blanche. The restaurant is off of the ramparts and has a nice view outside if you get a table near the windows. The food was delicious. There were three main choices since it was a group dinner and everyone found something that they liked.

I think I would make reservations and I would feel comfortable even the pickiest of eaters could find something here.
