Dining on Easter Sunday in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue

My wife & I will be staying in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and will be there on Easter Sunday. We're looking forward to the big market and were wondering if it makes sense to make lunch reservations in advance at a local restaurant, or to just eat at the market.

Does anyone have experience/recommendations?

Thanks

We have not been to the Easter market for some years but go all the time to the regular Sunday market so I thought I would chime in for what it is worth. There are many eating places along the river and hidden little spots all over Isle. I did notice that there are a lot of new restaurants since we were there.Since this market at Easter is now a world wide event I would imagine that the fancier restaurants would have reservations but there are so many nice little cafés that I would just walk around and notice some and grab a place when they are filling up....you may have to eat earlier than usual but the venders usually bring their own ..sometimes elaborate meals and eat right by their booths. One year we had a friend who was a dealer and she and her friends invited us to eat with them....what a wonderful and fancy meal...it will always be a memory. I would however ask at the hotel ahead of time for Sunday night reservations as this could be a problem. they could make a recommendation and a reservation for you.Sometimes Monday can be a problem, also although I would think with that many people in town places would be open on Monday... But you never can tell about Mondays.

On the recommendation of a local woman we spoke to on the street, we had dinner here, Restaurant Carre Rond-it was excellent, right on the "main drag" along the water. It's a family run place. We did not sit on this patio, they also have seating along the water and under cover, which was a good thing since it poured in the middle of dinner. They are open for lunch as well, in case you don't get enough to eat at the market ;-) We reserved a couple hours ahead, as we were walking by.
