In the 2014 book Rick says there is no bus service Dinan to St. Malo. Can anyone confirm this ? Any thoughts on alternative thoughts ? It's must make trip on that day. Can you go one way on the tour boats ?

No bus service on Sundays is pretty standard in areas without a lot of local traffic, but you can try the bus web sites mentioned on p. 347 of the France book. Trains on that route run 3x/day on Sundays with one connection, most taking 2 hours.

Thank you very much. Train sounds like the way to go. I assume these would be no reservation trains ? Just buy tickets in Dinan ?

No reservations needed. It's sort of a suburban commuter line. Enjoy the area - crepes et cidre!
