Dijon international gastronomy fair 2017

Hi!
I am thinking if I should travel from Paris to Dijon to attend the International
Gastronomy Fair on 1 or 2 Nov. Has anyone been there? How was it? Is it more suitable for companies/retailers than tourists?

I saw some photos of it and it seems to be conducted indoors/under a huge
shelter with many food stalls/companies.
Next, 1 Nov is a public holiday - All Saints Day - so will the fair be happening as
stated on the website?

Merci!

Hi, The "Foire Gastronomique de Dijon" is a big event every year. It takes place at the Exhibition hall.
There are food displays from all over France (Foie gras, oysters, wine, sweets ...) and also demonstrations, contests, culinary workshops and gourmet animations. There are restaurants on the top floor (if I remember well) but it is not gastronomic cuisine!

This year Vietnam is the host of honor so they have a special place to show their specialties. It is not only about food as you can find furniture, decoration and beauty/health displays. 600 exhibitors! It is very lively and the 1st november will be very busy.
There is also a little farm and a fun fair next to it. www.foirededijon.com

Have fun and welcome to Dijon!
