I began dialysis 8 months ago. Has anyone had dialysis at the American Hospital in Paris? If yes, what is the cost? Medicare does not pay for treatment outside of the United States so I want to add this cost to my travel budget.

That is my next project. I guess I really wanted to know how far in advance people began the process to have dialysis there.

Nelson, do you have a dialysis coordinator where you have your dialysis now? My friend is on dialysis and if she wants to travel anywhere, she tells them where she is going and where she would like to have the dialysis and they coordinate it with the other center. So far she hasn't been out of the country so it's been covered by medicare when she travels but she says they would help her anywhere in the world so I'm sure they could find out the cost for her and set it up where she is going. Have you talked to someone at your dialysis center?

Thank you for your response. I just used the coordinator for my holiday trips to family and that went well. So , I will be able to spend a few days with family.
