Destinations in France accessible directly from Porto

I am planning to fly from Porto to Toulouse however I have noticed that there are very few and far between direct flights between the two. I saw that a few airlines offer Porto - Toulouse via Madrid however it would mean either a very short layover that I am not willing to chance (a 45 minute self-managed layover) or a tiringly long layover. 

With that in mind, before I look into tipping my itinerary on its head and zig zagging (i.e. going between Spain and Portugal and back to Spain in order to reach France) I wanted to see if anyone knew some destinations in France that are accessible by a direct flight from Porto which I could substitute for Toulouse? We will be visiting Avignon after Toulouse so it would need to be within reasonable proximity to Avignon.

Check skyscanner.net for flights.

It looks like Ryanair and easyjet fly direct from Porto to Toulouse.

You may also check flying (direct) from Porto to Bordeaux, Marseille, Lyon, and of course, Paris.

You should be able to fly from Porto to either Rennes Bretagne Aéroport or Nantes Atlantique Aéroport, as well as some of the other places already mentioned.

There is a daily Porto Toulouse flight with Easyjet.
There is also some Ryanair flights but I must warn you that all Ryanair flights are very disrupted these days by staff strikes.

Moreover civil aviation workers at two unions in Portugal will strike over wages and safety levels from August 19 to 21. It’ll affect all portuguese airports

Starting your trip in Portugal would remove the need for that flight altogether.
If it does not work, then you could see if you can find a flight to Marseille from Porto, then head to Avignon.
