Dentist in Paris

We will be in Paris, and may end up needing a dentist. If so, we would need someone who speaks English, and also can do emergency crowns if need be. Hoping not to need this... but just in case, any suggestions for how to find someone?

I think I'd try to do it before you leave so you won't have an emergency there. I don't know dentistry in Paris, but dentistry is not practiced the same everywhere.

A few years ago I had some emergency dental work done about a week before a scheduled trip to Europe (my luck is super awesome). As it so happens, my dentist actually had lived some years in Paris and recommended a colleague she had worked with in the past and trusted. While I don't have that contact information handy any longer, the moral of the story is that it may be a good idea to check in with your current dentist to see if they had any leads. I expect they get this question more often than we may expect.

There is a large community of ex-pats in Paris. Google for their organization and then contact them for a dentist's name.

Medical care, including dentistry, is very high-quality in France. In an emergency, you can go to a medical center, where there is a good chance that members of the team speak English. Here is a link to the one my husband has gone to :

Another good medical center is COSEM, which has a dental department:

Here is a list of English-speaking dentists in Paris, compiled by the US Embassy:

Thank you very much. These are good suggestions. I do welcome any additional leads, although am certainly hoping not to need emergency care.
