Delta FlyReady

Just a heads up for all traveling internationally on Delta or any of its codeshare partners.

If you are traveling with a minor (under 18) you will not be able to check the minor in online. You will only be able to check the minor in at the airport.

We are traveling to Paris tomorrow on Delta/Air France. My wife and I were able to check in online and get mobile boarding passes like normal. Delta FlyReady does not allow you to upload (or even ask for it) Covid-19 vax cards for minors.

A Delta agent confirmed that for some reason, the minor’s Covid-19 vax card/status must be verified in person, so my daughter can’t check in or get her boarding passes until tomorrow.

So much for skipping the check-in counter at the airport.

Were you able to add the government form to flyready? I clicked on "I already completed this form" and I got the green checkmark but when I go back to this page it reverts back to being incomplete. I don't see anywhere to upload the confirmation.

Any hints on how to even get FlyReady to work? I have tried multiple times and I either get a website error immediately, or after I enter my confirmation code. Delta has no idea what is wrong - just tells me to arrive early at airport.

When it comes to the government form, I just clicked that I already completed the form. Every time I accessed FlyReady, the government form shows like I never entered anything.

I will say that the government form doesn't seem to matter as my boarding pass says FlyReady on it.

Problem was my minor daughter. Her FlyReady did not even give the option to upload her health docs, hence having to see someone at the counter.

I just accessed FlyReady from the Delta website on the "My Trips" page. I could never access FlyReady from the Delta app on my phone.

FlyReady appears to have worked for my wife and I as we have all of our boarding passes (they all say FlyReady), our glitch came with my minor daughter. FlyReady never asked to upload her health docs and not will not let us check her in online.

It could be that Delta has a policy to check on the minor and make sure there is a positive relationship between the parties prior to embarkation. They have been trying to help stop human trafficking. It is not an easy task.

I am having a difficult time completing the European digital passenger form. My boarding airport San Francisco doesn't show up so my flight number doesn't show up. Anyone else have this issue? Because we have a minor we will have to check in anyways for her boarding pass since we can't upload her vaccination card. Is this something we can all do when we check in or does it need to be done ahead of time?

You can do this all when you check in. Just give yourselves enough time at the airport. Even though I uploaded my vax card and got the green check mark AND was shockingly able to check in online and get boarding passes for Spokane to Seattle and Seattle to Paris the person at the bag drop still needed to see my Passport and my vax card.

Fly ready is not ready for prime time. I don’t even try anymore I just take my information to the Delta counter and check in. I don’t waste my time on their useless app that doesn’t work

This was our experience in Atlanta. Just take the hard copies to check-in. Never had any success with Fly Ready.

Does this include minors under 12 who aren’t required to show vaccine status to enter France?

My experience was the same as Carole’s. Two different trips one to France one to Spain. I have never been able to check in online with Delta for an overseas flight .

I flew CLE-ATL-MUC. My flyready became accessible 3 days before the flight. I uploaded photos of our cards (2 cards each) and got the check mark right away. There were no forms to fill out. I was also able to print out boarding passes. My passport is already verified by Delta. The gate agent did call my son to the desk and reverified his documents prior to boarding.

Thank you for starting this thread. Out of all places, here I was able to confirm the same problem I was having with Delta and uploading my kids vaccination cards. Our trip is not for another month but I was just uploading the paperwork to have it checked off. It actually says "your destination requires a covid test" when I tried to upload their cards. I have checked all the French sites a few times and the rules are consistent with 12 y/o and up only requiring vaccination card. I ended up emailing Delta FlyReady - somebody actually responded promptly but said they couldn't help and didn't seem to know what I was talking about. Thank you for confirming that it will be done at the airport, I was fearing that they would require a test at the last second :-/

@lemarq - Do you fly from a smaller airport or directly from an International Hub? My experience last Fall from a smaller market airport was that the local desk agent tried to tell me that France needed a Covid test - they did not. I asked her to scroll down on her computer to the section on vaccinated individuals which she did. If you are flying from a small airport where they may not have a lot of international travelers, I recommend bookmarking the government website for the country you are flying to in case you need back up information.

BTW, when I flew from that same airport last month there was no issue at all.

Same experience here... FlyReady was never updated when the under 18 crowd were made eligible for vaccines. We're flying to CDG in July and FlyReady still required a negative COVID-19 test for France, which France doesn't require for any fully vaccinated travelers. So for families, FlyReady is useless, and will save you no time by checking in online... And you have to show physical cards at the airport when dropping a bag anyway... Only useful if you're over 18, traveling alone, and have no checked bags... and even then, it's suspect... Good idea, very poorly executed and managed.
