Hello- Parents booked on flight with connection to Paris that was changed by Delta- only leaving approx 25 min to get off first plane and get on long haul plane to Paris- called Delta who said gate closed 30 min prior to departure time- complained and they switched to direct flight no connections but now on Air France- departure day is not a strike day but arriving day is- should I be concerned their flight will be cxld??

No need to be concerned as long as you bought the travel insurance.

I have been watching the Air France site regarding the strike and cancellations fairly carefully. The only flights that have been cancelled so far are those that depart on an actual strike day or just afterwards as they get things settled up a bit.

Hi Demi, we just returned from Paris. We left the US on April 6 via Air France and landed on April 7 (a strike day), no problem. Our return was scheduled for April 17 (strike day) on Air France. I called before we left and changed to a Delta flight. Again, no problem.
Leaving Paris on a strike date could be an issue - the articles I read said that 70% of the flights would be operating but I didn't want to take any chances. Landing on a strike day, no problem.
You did the right thing changing the flights. Your parents will be fine, don't worry!
