Dday tour in Normandy with Overlord tours

Our family of 6 took a day long tour with OverLord tours. Our tour guide Steven was amazing and very knowledgeable about the Dday invasion and the weeks to follow. We visited many of the landing beaches and stopped at many of the towns important in the invasion. He shared many of the battle stories of the American soldiers along with photographs. The tour was not only informative but emotional as well. I highly recommend this tour company.

Glad you had a great tour! Which one did you choose? I'm signed up for the 2 day Bradley's tour focusing on the 101st airborne's role since that was my grandpa's division (Screaming Eagles).

We did the Omaha/Utah beach tour. This is my second tour. Next time I would love to take a British one to get their perspective. That is great to relive your Grandfathers footsteps. My Mother was a child in Normandy during the war. The next generation needs to remember their stories and pass it on.

We recently took a their Band of Brothers Tour with Thierry. It was excellent. Our only thought at the end of the day was that while enjoyable, it had been a very long day.

The Bradley's 2 day tour is their Omaha/Utah beaches tour plus the Band of Brothers day for the 2nd day. I'm sure we'll be tired but really thankful we can do this. And yes, I definitely am teaching my children. We all went to the Holocaust Memorial Museum in DC this year and I have told them all to teach their children someday (when/if they have them, my kids were 8-15 yrs old when we went to DC this spring). I'm fortunate to have some family members who have written quite a bit of family history down so that we can share more easily with our children.

Today we did a bike tour from Bayeaux to Arromanche with Petite Reine Normandy. We saw the Mulberries in Arromanche, Gold and Juno landing beaches, more German Bunkers in Longues sur Mer and experienced the French Countryside. It was wonderful tour. They provided a picnic lunch with Normandy specialties and then ice cream at a farm. It was my favorite day in Normandy.

We did an Overlord tour today with Louis DiLasser. He was an incredible tour guide! We did a full day private tour and it was completely worth it! He took us to all the sites we wanted to see - Omaha beach, Utah beach and lots of stories to bring it to life! I highly recommend this tour and Louis!! Thank you!!
