Hello.
I'm looking for some ideas/advice for Antibes. I will be there for a day in July. I see that there is a beautiful walk along the coast (along the Cap d'Antibes). Does anyone have any advice for that walk? I think we'll start at the beach (Plage de la Garoupe), but I'm curious how we get back to the beach or to the old town at the end of the path. Can we catch a bus? Or is it close enough to walk? From my research, it looks like the walk is about 2 hours.
If we also decide to add in the Picasso Museum to our day, do we need to worry about long lines at that museum? I'm wondering if we should get tickets ahead or if it is too much to combine both of those activities into one day.
Julie
If It is nice day and you are in good shape you can just walk. You see more that way It is 2 miles one way. There is a bus 14 that runs through the town.
If you use Google maps you can map out how to get back.
There were no long lines at that museum when I was there July 2017 middle of the day. But having been to the Picasso museum in Paris I 've had enough of Picasso.
Envibus, line 2, Fontaine stop for the start and stop of the circular route. Bring plenty of water and consider reversing your route to end at the plage, as there are services there. Start early in the day as it is very exposed and check the bus schedule. The bus returns to the bus station in Central Antibes, with another walk to the Musee.
