Hello, I've struggled to find a small group trip in mid-May to MSM from Bayeux. Was hoping for a half-day trip but perhaps the drive itself eats into the time. Guidebooks say get there early or after 3pm..but this doesn't seem possible if car-less. (We're not driving at this point in our Senior lives.)
We found a minivan trip from Bayeux, 8 people, thru TripAdvisor -"MSM day trip/shared tour'" but I avoid third-party sites, and it' not clear who operates the service. Thoughts? I've already looked into Tours by locals/Get your Guide resources, no luck. We are staying in Bayeux & the area for 4 full days, if that matters. Thanks for sharing any ideas--
Hotel Churchill offers a shuttle from Bayeux to MSM. The shuttle leaves Bayeux at 8:30 and departs MSM at 1 PM. Would that work for you or you looking for more of a guided tour while you are at MSM?
Please look up Hotel Churchill in Bayeux. That's probably where that shuttle service is from but that's direct. My husband and I used them in October and it was easy and a good amount of time for us.
Edit: posted at the same time!
Also on the guided tour front, I'm pretty sure that Overlord Tours offers a tour of MSM. I'm not sure about the pick up city but for some reason I think that it is in Bayeux. You could email them to check.

You are no longer driving because you are seniors. Are you able to make the long, steep walk on the cobbles and steps to the top of MSM?
Thank you all for the info about leaving from the Hotel Churchill and taking a shuttle- I didn't know about that option and we're not staying there (was already booked), unfortunately.
The comments about a guided or un-guided tour to MSM are useful, and we appreciate that question.
It's not just the "senior" aspect that means we're not driving; I've driven successfully elsewhere, UK included. This time around I want to enjoy the scenery more, and do parking less! Thanks for the important point about the # of steps at MSM, so we will prepare for peak fitness (!) for that.
I'm grateful to the community for sharing your insights-E.
The hotel Churchill shuttle is not just for their guests.
As noted above, you don’t have to stay at the Churchill Hotel to book their shuttle. I used it about 15 years ago to visit Mont St Michel. It was very convenient.
