Day trips in and near Bordeaux

Wish someone would reply. We are going in April and want to know the same.

I'm just replying to "up" your post. Unfortunately I haven't been to Bordeaux nor do I know of any private guides.

You might try opening a new thread with title "Private Guide wanted, Bordeaux."

If you're interested in wine/chateaux tours, Bordeaux Vertigo gets pretty high reviews online (caveat: we have not used them yet, but we did book a full day tour for our October trip). They are on the pricier side, though, fwiw. My Lonely Planet guidebook also recommends the tours put on by the TI office (I don't recall if there were private options, though).

Try contacting the Bordeaux Tourism Office. If you have already booked a hotel, contact the hotel for help, also.
