I will be in Paris for 6 days and would like to do a day trip tour to Loire Valley with my mom for one day. Has anyone every taken one before? Any advice on good companies? I heard CityVision has a good one day tour. Do I book online in advance? Thanks so much in advance for your help!
In addition I would just like to confirm the correct website for booking train tickets in advance from Paris-Avingon and Avingon- Nice. Thanks :)

I stayed in Tours last year and did a van tour of four chateaus in one day. I booked through the Tourist Information Centre which is very near to the train station. I booked in advance the day before as the clerk had to call around to find a vacancy.
Rick’s France rail travel page has the link and tips for buying “Prems” rate TGV tickets through SNCF (cheap, reserved, nonrefundable, available about three months ahead) to print at home and pay with PayPal. It does not tend to work with US credit cards, unless you have an extra level of security set up.
