Day trip:Paris to Giverny

We have 9:30 am tickets for Giverny on a Wednesday during the Olympics.
Should we purchase train tickets now? Does the shuttle make round trips to train station if it is full or is there a better way to get to the group entrance?
I think we are planning a train that will arrive at the Vernon/Giverny station about 9:10 am.
If that doesn’t give us enough time we would need to take the earlier train and arrive at 8:10.
Thanks for any advice.

We took the train from Paris to Giverny in May. I had purchased the tickets in advance as I generally do to be on the safe side. Our Monet Garden tickets were for 11:30 and our train arrived a bit after 11:00. Since we became confused about the shuttle from Vernon to Giverny and took the silly tram (that had multiple flaws) instead of the bus, we arrived after noon, instead. Take the tunnel under the Vernon train station; do not take the tram and wait for the bus if it's not there. Signage at the Vernon train station isn't helpful (or we were just too dim but others were as confused as we) and signage in Giverny to get to the gardens was confusing. Even after being dropped off in Giverny, it's a hike to the entrance. It turned out that the line to get in even with tickets was so long that it didn't matter. We got in just fine at @ 12:30. We also had trouble exiting the garden--you have to exit through the gift shop (of course!). Btw, we had a late lunch at the charming Hotel Baudy without reservations. Enjoy!

We ended up on the train too - thought it had replaced the bus since the bus was not where it was last time I did this. Definitely take the bus if it is an option. And step lively -- if you miss the bus or the train is full there may n ot be another any time soon.
