Doing Loire to the South of France in 13 Days Tour at the end of the summer we end in Nice. Is it worth staying an extra day to do a day trip to Monaco or somewhere else in that region?

We were not on a tour, but when we were in Nice I did day trips to Eze as well as Antibes. Loved both! They were very easy to get to and were really nice leisurely days.

Definitely worth extra days, especially to unwind from a fairly busy trip. Easy access to many other places along the Riviera as well as Monaco. If possible, stay 3 extra days. You will find plenty to do in Nice and in the many other villages, towns, gardens, chateaux in the area. Do a search on this forum for suggestions of what to see and do there.

We did that tour in 2019 and stayed an extra 3 days, as did a few others from the tour. Nice has been on the radar for a longer stay ever since.
