Day trip from Avignon to Aix-en-Provence and St Remy de Provence

Hello,
We will be staying in Avignon for 4 days and wanted to do day trips to Aix-en-Provence and St Remy de Provence. What would be the best option to get to both places (train, bus)? Thank you.

St-Remy has no train station. It's an easy trip by bus. It's Line 57 from Avignon and takes only about half an hour. Here's a schematic drawing of the bus lines in that area: https://storage.googleapis.com/is-wp-22-prod/uploads-prod/2019/11/cbd54dd2-zou13plandeslignesbouchesdurhone.pdf. The schedule can be found here: https://storage.googleapis.com/is-wp-22-prod/uploads-prod/2021/07/ZOU13Ligne57AVIGNONSAINTREMYDEPROVENCE_BS.pdf. The days of the week are indicated by initials at the top of each column:

lmmjv = Monday - Friday
s = Saturday
d = Sunday

As you can see, buses run much more frequently on weekdays.

There are both trains and buses running between Avignon and Aix-en-Provence, but the distance is greater. Public transportation seems less convenient for that trip. You can check the rail schedule for your date here: https://www.sncf-connect.com/en-en/. Both Avignon and Aix have city train stations as well as TGV stations outside the city. Trains involving the TGV stations require a connection into town by train, bus or taxi.

The regional express bus line LER 23 connects Avignon and Aix-en-Provence, but it doesn't run very frequently. The weekday schedule is here: https://services-zou.maregionsud.fr/fr/horaires/Zou-LER/Bus/ligne/LER-23/direction/RETURN/10978#. The trip takes between 77 and 90 minutes.
