We will be in Paris in May and would like to find a dance venue that would work for two 55+ travelers that are looking for a place to dance, maybe have wine and snacks. We saw a couple (Chez Georges and Caveau de la Huchette) and wondered if anyone has personal knowledge of these spots or others that would be a good place to visit. Anyone? Thanks!
What kind of dancing? By that I mean club (hip hop type) dancing, tango, salsa, dancing to French classics, etc.
Social dancing--swing, fox trot, waltz, rumba. We dance in the U.S. and thought it would be fun to visit a Paris dance spot.
I Googled and got many listings, this one from TripAdvisor might be helpful:

Le Caveau de la Huchette, as you mentioned, looks promising. Website says Swing Dance Club
Way the heck out almost at edge of Paris near Porte Maillot, Le Meridien Etoile has a jazz club that I heard has swing dancing on Mondays. I've never been but I've heard good things about (not quite personal knowledge) and it could be what you want.
Balajo, on rue de la Lappe next to the Place de la Bastille, has a Tea Dance every Monday afternoon from 2 to 7. This street, which had many dance halls, and Balajo in particular, used to be the go-to place for ballroom every night of the week, with the big silver globes hanging from the ceilings. But Balajo is now salsa, rock, disco, on various evenings.https://www.balajo.fr/ or https://en.parisinfo.com/paris-museum-monument/72810/Le-Balajo, but it still has the Tea Dance. I haven't been there since the 1970s when it we'd dance ballroom until dawn, but if you're lucky they'll still inject a few traditional French dances, such as le musette, which you won't find back in the States. Hopefully, other dancers at the Tea Dance could fill you in on where the other dances are taking place. If I understand correctly, you aren't looking for a night club with amplified music, but a dance hall.
Le Balajo is on the TA list I linked to, since Bets recommended it it must be good. Hopefully their other recs are as good.
I saw Balajo on your list, Susan, but the list appears to contain a lot of places that have club atmospheres, ie crowded dance floors of people jumping and rocking. Steve G. is looking to fox trot, rumba, waltz, in addition to the swing that he found at the Caveau de la Huchette. Balajo still has the Monday afternoon ballroom Tea Dance. If they go there, they'll get tips from other dancers on finding other ballroom dances.
BTW, looking this up, I found the French term is "danse de salon". Learn something every day.
Bets, I did not research each club listed to get more info, I’ll let Steve do that.
Thanks to everyone for the info. It looks like there are several good possibilities.
