Hi,
Just wanted to tell you about a tour guide, who is a true professional, an ex soldier of the British army and has studied and research D-day in great detail.
He picked my wife and I up at our hotel in Bayeux and took us on a two day tour of the battlefields in Normandy. It was an amazing experience, his detail and depth of knowledge was breathtaking.
If there is anybody out there going to Normandy to do a D-day tour drop Duncan Hollands at normandysightseeingservices.com an email. It's a tour you don't want to miss.
Clive & Karen Long (USA).
Thanks for your report. I'm glad that you had this positive experience!
Carol - You must visit the usual places in the American Sector. (Omaha, Utah, Pointe du Hoc), but if you have time visit Arromanches and learn about the artificial harbor and visit the Pegasus Museum. If you are driving and have the time a visit to one or more of the German batteries (Crisbecq, Azeville, Merville, or Longues sur Mer.
