CVS uses the Lumiradx antigen test for its rapid test. Lumiradx website states that it tests for the nucleocapsid protein. If I read things right, this should be accepted by France, correct?

Honestly, it is very unlikely that anyone here will have a definitive answer. I would send an inquiry to the nearest French consulate and to your air carrier. They are the people who will be accepting your test or not.

Several French websites speak of the antigen test so I’m going with it.
