I'm planning a trip to the Loire for late June 2016 and I'm wondering what is the current status of the Azay le Rideau renovation? Will I be able to see most of the chateau or will it be covered in scaffolding? Has anyone visited it recently and has up to date info?

I probably saw the same thing you did on this site, that it was largely under construction this year. I haven't heard any eye witnesses one way or the other.

It shows a large part of the exterior covered in the new style of 'wrap' used when buildings are under renovation which shows a picture of what the building looks like underneath it. You see this style of coverup used a lot in Europe and at least it gives you an idea of what it should look like. Only you can decide if it's still worth going to.
