I am scheduled to leave Tuesday, June 7 for CDG, then directly to Avignon on the TGV. Can anyone advise me on the status of air and rail strikes, flooding, etc. in France at this time? I have travel insurance and am thinking about canceling my trip. Lee B.

Weather is iffy - probably will rain off and on.
The rivers are high, but that won't affect travel to Avignon.
Train strike is still on, but trains are running at 50% schedule. If you miss your train, you can get on the next one, but won't be assured of getting a seat.
Air strikes predicted for the week after you arrive.

No air strikes are predicted! No bombing will take place! (I've said the same thing before, myself and know what you mean. But it does sound funny!)
Air France pilots are striking June 11-14. Don't know if you're flying them.
Anyway yes check all the threads on this page, all of these topics have been discussed multiple times.
