Hello, fellow travelers:
I can find cruises departing out of UK ports to France or Spain, but few going the other way. I would like to avoid taking a plane and cruise to the UK by ship. We will be in southern France, so could depart from Barcelona in late July, 2024. Thanks for any suggestions.

True. Good luck with that. Had never thought of that but most of those cruises originate in UK or Amsterdam. Have not seen any that disembark from Spain or France. At least the cruise lines we use and are familiar with.

I doubt you will find a cruise as such, but there are cruise ferries (high quality car ferries) from Santander to Plymouth and Portsmouth, also Bilbao to Portsmouth;
and from France- Roscoff to Plymouth, also Cherbourg, Le Havre, Caen and St Malo to Portsmouth.
Any cruise would be a return from a French or Spanish port at that time of year. Costa and MSC may do repositioning cruises to the UK in Spring or Autumn, but not in high summer.
