Hi,
We have a rental from Europcar from CDG but do not know if it will have this sticker. Does anyone have experience with this? Where exactly is the sticker required? We’ll be travelling through Normandy, Brittany, Loire regions.
Thanks in advance.
The sticker should be on the windshield of the car, particularly a new car, or there should be documentation that the sticker has been applied for. It’s the car owner’s responsibility. I imagine that it taken care of at a large company such as EuropCar.
There is nothing that the renter of a car can do, so don't worry about the Crit'air sticker.
As already stated, the sticker should be on the windshield and you are good to go in France.
If you decide to drive into another country, the French sticker means nothing as each country has its own sticker. I use the Green-Zones app to know which areas/cities has emission restrictions. As an example, when I rented a vehicle in Frankfurt, DE I avoided driving in Strasbourg, FR because the vehicle only had a Germany sticker and I didn’t want to receive a ticket in France.
Thank you for the information and advice.
