Covid test scheduling while on HOF tour

Hello travellers,
I'm doing the HOF Paris tour in June and am wondering what time in general would the bus return to Paris from Giverny on Day 10? My flight departs the next afternoon and I'm trying to figure out how I can schedule a covid test before I leave. Is it possible to schedule a test the week before? We'll be in Paris the first few days of the tour. How far in advance can you book? Thanks for any advice or suggestions!

This would be a great question to ask your guide at the start of the tour. He/she may already know the best/time place for you get tested upon return to Paris. This is something that would have already been considered.

You could pack a proctored self-test and eliminate the scheduling concern completely.

Thanks, both!
How does a proctored self-test work? Do I bring one of my self-tests from home, go to a pharmacy in Paris the afternoon of our return and take the test in front of a pharmacist?

For our April trip I know Rick has arranged for a nurse to come that last day in paris and test anyone who wants it for about €20. We are leaving a day later so will go to pharmacy. Requirements may change by the time you go.

As Carol said, it's a specially packaged test kit (though functionally the same as some 'normal' test kits. You can do it with a smartphone and an internet (wifi or cellular) connection—I did it with my iPad. Someone said it would be easier with a "cameraman", but I managed to do it on my own. It does call for setting up an online profile, which I've heard people have had a hard time doing while abroad, so best set up pre-travel.

One wierd reality is that you hear, but don't see the proctor, who is watching you. I've just become accustomed to Zooms & Facetimes with two-way video.

dswind54, that would be excellent if a nurse came the last day to administer the test! I definitely would pay the 20 euros!
I'm trying to envision the tour and what it will be like. I imagine once we get out of Paris it'll be fast-moving. I'm hoping by then there will be a summer lull in terms of cases but I guess we won't really know until the date gets closer.

OP this gets us right back to my original suggestion of talking to your tour guide on the first day.........

Well, it's fairly fast moving IN Paris as well. This is a wonderful tour with a big variety of sights covering a big range of times frames - Medieval to WWII. SO interesting! I know you'll have a wonderful time!

We received an email from RS Tours about our trip in May. It said "Your guide will provide information about how to get tested at your welcome meeting on the first day of your tour" if you need a negative test before returning to the US. You should receive a similar email about 30 days before your tour.
