Daughter and I are looking for transportation on Sept 8 from Courmayeur to Chamonix but the Flix Bus schedule won't work for us as it only has three departures (6:00am, 8:00pm, and 11:30pm) - not ideal. I now that we could take the gondolas but that is a bit weather dependent so wondered if anyone was aware of other options.

Is that schedule for 2018?
It certainly appears to be the 2018 schedule.
Here is the page to check on schedules for this year; unfortunately, the schedule
only goes out to Sept 3rd, and trying to get info for Sept 8 shows no departures.
This does not mean there aren't any, but you may have to contact them directly.
Or try the tourist office in Chamonix.

Thanks so much - I will look into this a bit more as you suggest. I have seen that many services seem to be reduced after 9/3 including certain gondolas, etc.
BlaBlaBus also shows buses, going up to Sept 2, none after that.
But, their other gig is that individual drivers may advertise space in their cars for
a certain date, but usually not very far ahead of time. For a short trip and two of
you, that option might work if someone posts an offer.
I contacted the Courmaeur visitor center and received this reply:
"rom September 4th the Mont Blanc tunnel will be closed for 15 weeks. We haven’t yet the timetable between Courmayeur and Chamonix (maybe through the Great Saint Bernard tunnel).
You should send us a new message at the end of August to have more dtails."
One hope is the weather cooperates and we can take the gondolas across but otherwise it may be an expensive private transfer.
