Corsica - Driving the West Coast

Hello. I would love to hear your opinion on the following 2 driving routes.. I have read up on the driving on the West Coast and although my husband has driven on these types of roads in Hawaii and Ireland and he did well, he did not really enjoy it and did not see the scenery. I am wondering about the following 2 routes. WE can adapt our itinerary to include or not include one or the other or both. Thank you.

  1. From Calvi to Cargese on the coast

  2. From Ajaccio to Cargese on the coast.

Which route is more difficult to drive,(narrow, blind curves, animals, bikes, people on the roads, busses, trucks, etc.)

Which drive is more scenic?

Are there any views on either route that we could not see from a day boat tour from Calvi? Cargese or Ajaccio?

Calvi to Cargèse is far more scenic, but the coastal road is objectively a difficult drive. Horrendeously twisty, with steep drop-offs (though road width is mostly OK).
Ajaccio to Cargèse has some good sea views (not from high) and the road is not particularly hard.
