Connecting at CDG - Immigration question

It's been 5 years since my spouse and I went through CDG. He is French is and has an EU passport (US green card as well) and I have a US passport. Are we able / allowed to stay together through immigration or will we be separated? Any idea what queue we should stay in? Read a lot of conflicting info online. We have a tight connection to LYS. Thank you!

Families should stay together. Go through the EU queue.

You will go through immigration airside and it is quite possible there will be only one queue. Be careful to follow the signs for correspondence where they have a special immigration process for air side transfer. We just made such a connection in Amsterdam and there was only one queue for everyone; we had originally planned to transfer at CDG so I researched the process there and it appeared to me there was only one queue there -- but I can't attest to it by experience.

All of our immigration experiences lately have been done one at a time, not by family groups as was sometimes the case in the past, so I suspect you will be expected to go in your correct line IF they have two lines. I doubt they will.

Not sure I can answer your question about families going through together with your situation, but my wife, daughter and I recently went through immigration at CDG on our return flight and each person goes through individually with the photo ID recognition system in place for US passport holders. I remember years ago going up to the passport control together...don't know if that is still a thing...

It's going to depend on your airline terminal. Some separate EU from non-EU passports, some don't. We always take AF/Delta where the passports are separated. Ask the person directing the lines when you get to the area. Your spouse has to go through the EU line. If you are going to a window with an officer, they might allow you to stay together. This I don't know for sure.

If you use biometric passport booths, you'll go through separate areas, one for EU, a different area for non-EU.

Thanks all. I remember last time in 2018 we stayed together in the US lane - just not sure if things have changed. We're flying in on Air France. Might just do the Meet & Greet CDG service as we have a tight connection.
