confusion about bus tickets

I'm totally confused about which bus ticket to buy for July 14-19, 2026 stay in Paris. Should I buy weekly or daily? We won't be taking the metro-too many stairs--just busses. Hotel is in Bastille on Rue de Lyon. Could someone help???

Let's not confuse tickets (single ride), with passes (unlimited rides within a specified time-frame).

In reference to stairs, all of the RER lines as well as métro 14 have elevators.

For simplicity, a stay of 14 July to 19 July fits nicely into the validity period of the weekly pass, 32.40€. This pass will take you anywhere within the Ile de France, and includes: métro, bus, funicular, IDF Mobilités trains, RER, and tramways. It is an excellent value, a comprehensive solution, but one with some caveats:

  1. The pass must be loaded onto either a Navigo Découverte card (5€) or configured smartphone using either the Bonjour RATP app or the Ile de France Mobilités app.
  2. Navigo Découverte cards are not sold at airports. You may load the pass onto an existing ND card at airports.
  3. Using this pass on an app requires your establishing an IDF Mobilités account, explained here: https://www.iledefrance-mobilites.fr/en/aide-et-contacts/iledefrance-mobilites-connect/comment-creer-mon-compte
  4. Accounts will unlikely be able to be established on a smartphone with a non-EU phone number. If your phone already has an account, you may load the pass as you always have.

Otherwise, purchase a Navigo Easy card (2€) and load as many bus/tramway tickets (2.05€) as you like. You can also use either app on your smartphone for tickets.

On many bus lines, you may now use a credit card, paying for up to 4 riders. These tickets are 2.50€ each:
