I plan on exploring vienne as a day trip from Lyon in October. I have learned that I can also take a bus to Condrieu. It seems wineries are fairly close to the town. I don’t want to drive because I don’t want to spit. Anyone been to wineries close to Condrieu or vienne ?

I was in Condrieu in May, and I don't remember seeing any wineries in the town. We went to a winery in Chavannay, to the south, and there are a lot in that town. There are also a lot to the north of Condrieu. Looking at Google Maps, it seems that there are a couple of wineries a little outside the Condrieu center, but I don't know much about them. One of them, Georges Vernay, has a very good reputation. We also spent some time in Vienne, but I don't recall seeing any wineries in the immediate area. There are plenty of wineries in those 2 general areas, but a car is needed to get to them.
