Concerts here are absolutely lovely but I do warn that if you or someone you're with is a taller person (I am 6ft 2) it is absolutely uncomfortable as the rows are tightly put together.

Be aware that it can get rather warm and stuffy during the evening concerts. No AC, seating is cozy. But I've been twice and thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

I've attended these concerts in the past. It's really lovely to be inside Sainte-Chapelle for long enough to really drink in the beauty of the stained glass. However, I've had trouble staying awake because of jet lag, and what others mentioned about heat and rather cramped seating tracks with my experience. Also, the last time I went I remember that the quality of playing wasn't that great -- although the audience went wild at the end anyway.

I remember the actual players being quite competent, but the theatrics nauseating (dramatic entrances, the first violinist or "Leader" stealing other players' music stands while they played, etc.). I felt like they were very talented musicians forced to play a scripted, "Disney-esque" performance for uninformed tourists (applause between movements was just one key). If you are at all serious about seeing a quality classical music concert, I cannot recommend this "show." The venue, of course, is beautiful though.

Unlike the previous poster, there were no theatrics or gimmicks at the concert I attended in April 2025. While the performance was nice, it is definitely the jewel box setting that was the highlight.

I love going to concerts there. It’s a great way to see the stained glass without a lot of crowds.

Note that they are doing some restoration there and that part of the stain glass might be covered with tarps. It also gets very warm there so be prepared for that.

You will still need still need to go through security, so go a bit early to allow for that.
